Not at all what it used to be just a few years ago. The food was okay, but reminded me of standard catering hall food. The side veggies were super mushy (carrots and squash). The mashed potatoes were room temperature. The crème brûlÃe barely had a glaze on top. On a night where there were literally two other parties dining in the large dining room, we were seated right next to the swinging kitchen doors, kitchen things clanging, with wait staff in and out, and chatting by the bar. We had a reservation. My husband and I were each brought a single, small piece of bread before dinner. It was just ⦠underwhelming, for a place I used to love. I wonât be returning.
I visited The Carlton a few years ago, and upon my return to the area, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. It was a special occasion, and I couldn't think of a better place to bring my girlfriend, who had never been there before. The wait staff was attentive but not pushy, the wine selection was superb and complemented the dishes perfectly, and the food was outstanding - just like I remembered.
Weâve come in the past for special occasions but the price fixe is so ridiculously over- priced for what you get I had to write. for some sliced up filet, a Caesar salad, and a small dessert in their rose tile decor is so insulting I am still beating myself up for going there and getting robbed like we did. Off the charts negative for value, so many other better places to goâ¦.
Such a disappointing evening all around. although everything looked beautiful the service was horrible we sat at for a reservation and it took an hour before we were asked or given drinks and bread The server was apologetic but it did not make our evening any better. it was and a hours of waiting around. so dissatisfied and so disappointing for such a special holiday and evening Book a table now
We were disappointed by the slow service (1 hour wait for appetizers) at this restaurant. The wine list was not impressive and the food was only average at best. My companions received undercooked duck but were too irritated to send it back. There are better dining options available. We were hoping for a special meal, but for now I would recommend avoiding this venue.
THE PLACE WAS TO COLD TO SIT AND ENJOY DINNER, NO ONE WAS IN THE DINNING ROOM, THE WAITER AND STAFF- LEFT US FOR DEAD, THEY WERE TO BUSY SOCIALIZING, WE HAD TO KEEP CALLING FOR THEM AND EVEN HAD TO KNOW ON THE KITCHEN DOOR POOR SERVICE , FOOD WAS GOOD NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE
The service was flawless and the food was exceptional. It was my first time there, but I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.
Food was overpriced..limited selection. Would like to have had a little music.. extremely quiet. I do have to say the service was good Book a table now
