I recently attended an event at this restaurant and appreciated its location and golf club ambiance. However, I was taken aback by the lack of valet parking upon my arrival. The venue felt quite small for the number of guests, leading to a cramped atmosphere that I found uncomfortable. The food was just mediocre, and the portion sizes were less than satisfactory. On top of that, I've heard that the restaurant will be closing soon, as the owner does not intend to renew the lease this fall.
I visited The Carlton a few years ago, and upon my return to the area, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. It was a special occasion, and I couldn't think of a better place to bring my girlfriend, who had never been there before. The wait staff was attentive but not pushy, the wine selection was superb and complemented the dishes perfectly, and the food was outstanding - just like I remembered.
We were disappointed by the slow service (1 hour wait for appetizers) at this restaurant. The wine list was not impressive and the food was only average at best. My companions received undercooked duck but were too irritated to send it back. There are better dining options available. We were hoping for a special meal, but for now I would recommend avoiding this venue.
Went there for a wedding reception. Several times (3! I was served a drink in filthy glasses. Everything from greasy to covered in lipstick. No way they were washed at all.Someone broke a glass. Even after I informed the waitstaff it wasn't cleaned up until after the end of the event.Do your event elsewhere. Book a table now
I had to cancel a wedding contract that I had arranged two years in advance, just six months before the event, and they refused to refund me for any of the vendors I had booked or for the save-the-dates. This is a clear example of unprofessional behavior!
The service was flawless and the food was exceptional. It was my first time there, but I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.
