I had the worst experience at Panera Bread yesterday around 6pm. My girlfriend and I received sandwiches and salads with half-frozen chicken. The sandwich was a complete mess, even though it’s something I order often—melted cheese was oozing onto the plate. The broccoli cheddar soup was excessively salty and had a strange, gooey substance I couldn’t identify. I also asked for green tea, but was told they were out. When I requested a refill, the employee seemed completely inattentive. To top it off, I asked for a piece of bread, and they didn’t have any—at Panera Bread, no bread was available. My experience at Panera Bread has been disappointing overall. The interior is quite dark, and the internet has never worked during the 3 or 4 visits I’ve made over the past eight months. While some staff members were friendly, others seemed like they were just eager for their shift to end. The half sandwich I ordered felt hastily assembled. However, the quality of the turkey deli sandwich and broccoli cheese soup from the menu was excellent and definitely worth the price.
This review focuses solely on the Island Park location. Other locations have typically been good to great. However, I've consistently experienced lukewarm coffee here, and they never seem to have cinnamon or teas available like at other locations. Additionally, mobile orders are rarely ready when promised. Something seems off with this place.
I ordered soup and a sandwich and sat at one of their tables. As I was gathering my trash to leave, I noticed two cockroaches scurry across the floor from another booth towards me. It seems they don't clean the tables after customers finish eating, so the leftover debris just sits there, which clearly attracts roaches.

I really like Panera, though I wish the portions were bigger considering the price. That said, joining their clubs, especially the coffee club, can quickly make it worth your money.
I absolutely love this location! It's the closest restaurant to me in Long Beach, and the food is always fresh. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly as well.
This restaurant is the best I've ever visited. It's impeccably clean and well-organized. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious.
The food is a bit on the expensive side, but the quality is excellent and there's a great variety to choose from.
