A little weirded out that I was getting ready to place my order, but I was stepped back a couple of feet for safety sake, and a couple of younger fellows came in looking for their on line orders, it looks like they were strangers, but immediately began talking about the online order system to each other. I recently visited Panera after quite a while, and I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. This location only has self-checkout, which means there are no cashiers—just tablets. I was disappointed to learn that they only accept card payments and do not take cash. Although I had my card with me, it was still inconvenient. The bagel I ordered was stale and didn't taste fresh at all. They also forgot to include butter, so I had to ask for some. The self-serve coffee was lukewarm and not very hot. There soup and bread are always a comfort food. I can buy the soups in most markets for cheaper, but the bread.. is out of this world! My only gripe is the staff. It 's usually staffed pretty well, but I feel like maybe they all just started quietquitting I typically wait about 25 minutes to a half hour for 2 cups of soup with a side of ciabatta bread. Even if there isonly one person in front of me, sometimes NO ONE in front of me. I 've the lack of care when a sandwich is being made that IDIDN 'T order, and I 'm still waiting 10 minutes LATER. I really can't stand Panera anymore, to be honest. Their quality has dropped significantly, and the food isn't worth the price or the long waits in line. This place is consistently disappointing with its slow service. We ordered lunch for our office in Waltham, and the assorted sandwiches we received were terrible. Most of them were inedible due to the awful taste, greasy buns, wilted lettuce, and hard bread. The biscuits were even rock-hard and completely unusable. I can't imagine wasting my time and energy visiting another Panera again; it would be a disservice to my appetite.

The staff at Panera Waltham is quite rude and seems to discourage customers from taking advantage of the unlimited sip program. Each time we visited for our coffee, we encountered unpleasant attitudes, and our rapid pick-up orders were frequently not ready. It undermines the concept of rapid pick-up if you still have to wait for your cup. Sometimes the cups were available for use, while other times they were not, leading to confusion when placing orders ahead of time. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and demonstrated a lack of customer service.
Food was fine but staff was rude to me and my girlfriend. They didn't have soft drink cups out and when I asked for one, they told me they didn't have any BUT ALSO gave me a hard time about taking a coffee cup. I'm not going to cup my hands to hold adrink. My girlfriend asked for salad dressing because it was light and after she told them it was green. They insisted itwasn't and scoffed before giving her the green dressing. This is absolutely bizarre behavior. Never had this at another Paneraand genuinely don't understand the attitude of this place.
The food was satisfactory, but I've had better. The side dish, an apple, was on the small side and had a slight blemish. The waitress and what I believe was the manager were friendly and attentive, but the server who delivered our food from the kitchen appeared unfriendly and a bit grumpy. This is why I rated the service and atmosphere as a 4.
The worst food I ever tried. The sandwich taste like a W-40, and the soup it was mostly water, the Preso soup taste better than that. And I'm visiting here, but never again. For the money that I paid is no worthy. Not recommended.
