Probably the best restaurant in Richmond Hill. The food here is consistently perfect, very fresh-tasting, and as good as any Thai food I've had in NY, LA, D.C., etc. Wonderful outdoor seating for when the weather is nice enough to eat outside. Terrific service, great daily specials, extremely reasonable prices. We love this place for lunch or dinner! Vegetarian options: The Thai Curry Noodles with vegetables is WONDERFUL. I also get the Pad Thai with tofu and it's always great.
This is a zero star!!! 1: service is awful! Hostess debated where to seat us in an empty restaurant for around five minutes, and muttered to herself how confused she was LOL. Then when we complained about our food, she began to argue in front of us. 2: The fish was nasty frozen disgusting. The sushi came out with the fish being about the size of my pinky nail. Wow!!! Papaya Thai is awesome!!! Amazing curry duck W/ vegetables and white rice This Thai chef has talent. My meal had sliced duck prepared very elegantly With crispy edges, juicy middle,no bones. On a bed of vegetables and light sweet sauce. Not hot. Enough for 2 people. I'm hooked on Thai. Watch out chef. Yall no lie I was skeptical but soon as I tasted my food. I literally melted in my seat. Idk if it’s because all the flavors was having a party in my mouth. But when I say the “PAPYA Stir Fry” hit the spot it really hit! I had extra curry red and ginger sauce on the side. I will definitely be trying again. We ordered “Papaya Special” for 2 person, 15 pieces of sashimi, tatami and 1 sushi roll! Sashimi was well decorated, but it probably he touched too much, sashimi was warm and not fresh miso soup was cold..
