I go to many Paradors and often eat there. I expect the meal to be something special, in Mérida unfortunately it was anything but. As we had paid for an evening meal for the two nights up-front we were also stuck with it! The first night was poor, the second a disaster: Portions were small and nothing special. Given the price the value for money was very poor indeed. The waiters were very friendly, but there was a long wait for the food to arrive at the tables. We chose a pepper salad one night. It came out ice-cold. I almost had brain-freeze. My wife chose a rice dish, but the vegetables were inedible and she had to leave it. On the first day we were offered desserts from the menu and also...
I went to eat with my partner when we went to visit the city and recommend the restaurant, both for the quality of the menu and for the good attention of the waiters. We ask for the gurumelos and the chochinillo since one of the waitress recommended it, very attentive and very successful wine, very professional thanks to the fact that it was the one who attended us and his companion who recommended the desserts that we will return.
En línea con lo que ofrece la cadena de Paradores: buen servicio, buen genero y entorno muy cuidado. A destacar el arroz con carrilleras y el poste de emulsión de naranja. Muy conseguidos. La carne (en este caso chuleta) de buena calidad pero fall la presentación. Debería acompañarse de una plancha para terminarla de asar al gusto de cada uno. Servicio rápido y personal muy profesional. Calidad precio razonable.
quiet and with excellent views from the balcony of the room, the bed is comfortable as well as the sofas to read. the decoration of the hotel in the common areas is very good. Maybe the least we have was the restaurant area.

El sitio es precioso. La comida variada y muy rica. Pedí la sopa de tomate y un bacalao que estaba de chuparse los dedos. No podía faltar un buen Ribera del Guadiana ...y de postre un helado de AOVE para repetir.
The pork tenderloin was good, but the veal was too salty. Appetizers and desserts were very average. The chocolate brownie and ice cream was not good. Go to this restaurant for the experience not the food.
El comedor secundario es algo sencillo. El servicio es agradable y el precio asequible. No es fácil aparcar en la calle pero si no está lleno puedes aparcar en el garaje.
Very old fashioned restaurant, average food, very high undeserved price. On a positive note waiters are very friendly but that's is not enough. Won't be going back.

The food was not as good as the evening before in Toledo. This one specialized in local food whereas the Toledo parador was more focused on gourmet items.
Atención de 10 y comida espectacular. Platos muy bien preparados . Postres riquísimos. El personal muy atento. Recomendable cien por cien.
