Tried their mac’n’cheese at a vegan festival in Tyneside recently and was extremely impressed. It was a bit pricey at £5 but you got a fair sized bowl. Definitely one to keep an eye out for at local events. We got to the festival a little too late so next time I’d definitely like to try their mixed meat shawarma or the BBQ Jackfruit Wrap. They’re also involved in a local animal welfare cooperative and connected with the Bohemian and Junk it Up vegan fast food so all in all a great bunch of guys representing the North East of England’s active vegan scene.
finally got the opportunity to experience Parallel7, which one of the providers at the latest vegan festival in the wylam brewery that I visited. after much advice I got the chikn tikka with sweet and rice, which was delicious and just £4. the sincean chikn tikka pieces were of a beautiful texture with a beautiful masala tikka spiced marinated sauce and a slitter of raitha on the top as well as perfectly cooked rice. we are looking forward to trying more menu next time. #veganuary
I buy the pasties from the old shops of Parallel7 and they are great. I also have food from them on vegan festivals and it's delish . If you haven't tried the Mac cheese, you are missing. I just wish it was available every day. Louise the owner is fab and is always looking for ways to expand the menu, so is open to suggestions.
We love Parallel7 when they are at a fair or an event, we go directly to them! Her kebabs are so fresh and tasty and the owner is a pasisonate, very hard work vegan.
