Decided to try this new restaurant in Markham, middle eastern cuisine. Very good, fresh, nicely prepared. Loved the garlic sauce that came with my platter (chicken shawarma in a ask wrap with fries,pickles,pickled turnip,garlic sauce) Tabliyeh style, also tried the spinach & cheese pie, and a chicken shawarma wrap. Appetizers , salads, wraps, meat platters, combo platters, desserts. Lots of parking since they are located in a plaza, Halal meats, vegetarian dishes, Prayer room, kids playroom. Try also serve breakfast. Our server Aruma, very friendly, attentive young lady, did a great job. Wheelchair accessible. Will certainly return to try other dishes.
I have been to four different Paramount restaurants in Toronto. The best so far is the one north of Yonge Street. This location is a newer one, not worth going to. There does not seem be be a set standard for thier food. We had the shish tawouk with rice, hummus, fatoush salad and falafel balls. The chicken was skimpy and dry, thefalafel balls were also dry and the salad was mostly lettuce and two pieces of sweet peppers and radish, no pita chips. Service was slow even though the restaurant was not full. Should have gone to the other restaurant in the area.
We went there on Sunday for lunch. The staff is friendly and attentive. I saw a waitress picked up a toddler for a little while in order to allow his dad to get on with his food.The environment is comfy.We are not very familiar with Middle East food. We ordered a lamb entree and a beef shawarma. The portion is good. I like the bread and the tahini sauce is rich. The lamb was a little too dry and bland. Overall, the experience is pleasant!
Disappointing experience. I was served the wrong food and the staff seemed unprepared for the high volume of customers. The chicken shawarma plate was small in portion size, with no included salad or garlic sauce. And the chicken seemed to be minced, like it was leftover.The falafel sandwich was dry, with little added sauce and tough and difficult to chew. I would strongly not recommend dining here.

We tried this New Restaurant near our home, for a Birthday celebration, there were 7 of us, the ambience was okay, servers were very helpful and courteous.The food what can I tell you was delicious, especially the mixed platter with chicken skewers and Minced beef kebobs were very well cooked. The two toddlers in the group enjoyed the Pizza and the play area.
We ate the chicken shawarma which comes with the fries. It was pretty good. We also had the cheese manakeesh which could have done with just 2 more minutes in the oven. The shish tawook was perfect . The filafeel was good but the dessert was the best. We had the baklava cheesecake which was delicious.
The food was average. The beef shawarma was dry and tough to chew, but the warm garlic pita bread was delicious. The accompanying salad was fresh and flavorful, although it may have had a bit too much cilantro.
I heard about this restaurant for a while now and finally tried it outComing on a weekday, the restaurant was pretty empty.
