I was brought a birthday cake by Nurse Marites (Tess) from this restaurant. The cake was beautifully packaged with a cake cutter and candle. It was a red velvet cream cake topped with fresh berries and chocolate curls, making it incredibly delicious and light. The staff at this location in Ridgefield, NJ were clean, courteous, and went above and beyond to help me with a special order. The result was a perfect cake for my gathering that was a hit with both kids and adults. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the presentation of their pastries and cakes is beautiful, making it a lovely place to visit for a sweet treat.
Bakery and breads are decent. However, I always felt that service is not their strong suit. Today I had the worst experience where an employee started a verbal argument with me this morning. It’s self service bakery where you put your bakery in a tray and they bag it for you. You greet, pay, thank you, and leave. Not sure what the issues were but a rude young lady behind the counter started a verbal argument with me. Won’t return to this location. There are plenty good bakeries in that area.
Saturday,1/6/2024 time 3.23pm I came to this place to get my coffee and pastry and boulengerie that needs to be served hot. The cashier refused to warm them for me, stating that the oven and microwave were not working at the same time. Hip-hop music uncensored is played out loud, and those cashier couples cracking jockes and laughing) telling me coldly we can not heat it up to you and her intentions are to not give her self extra energy and time. First and last time.
