Park Lok basically sucks. Sorry, wanted to like it but it was just plain bad. Gourmet traveler magazine led me here but what a mistake. Worst spring rolls ever. Mushy. No flavour. Eh. The complementary prawn crackers were stale. We asked for them to be replaced and they brought out the same stale crackers. Soggy prawn crackers. Not the best way to start. Service was missing in action. So much better food and service in many nearby venues. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but we won't be back to find out.
We attended last Saturday night for my sister's 70th Birthday. A special banquet was ordered, and the food was excellent. The highlights were the lobster, Peking Duck, tea smoked duck and suckling pig. Obviously, this was a special order, but standard meals are just as good. Adelaide is not renown for its Chinese cuisine, but Park Lok is a standout. The service was also excellent, which(sadly) is unusual in Chinese restaurants anywhere.( I am allowed to say it, as I am Chinese background myself!)
Disappointing. Went there tonight and the food wasn't up to par. The food was served literally 5-10 minutes after we placed our order which often raises the question as to how the food was prepared. We had a fish, pork, chicken, veg, and a pork intestine dish. They were all average at best. You'd expect better from a big restaurant situated literally on the doorstep of Chinatown. There are plenty of other better Chinese restaurants within a stone's throw from here. Won't be going back again.
Beware - booking this restaurant online means they will not accept entertainment book vouchers. Park Lok is to be avoided if you favour dining together with the courses in the order you ordered, otherwise expect to have to ask where you meal is after the rice, which was delivered suspiciously on demand, is cold and your partner has finished prawn which also arrive surprisingly quickly.

We had dinner here yesterday the food was sublime and very generous portions Order less and share because you will not be disappointed the Szechuan beef was FABULOUS and the Honey Chicken was sublime If you are in Adelaide this is a must visit Enjoy
The food isn't bad. Particularly a fan of the peppercorn chicken and mapo tofu. However, the prices have gone up over the last two years and it tends to be slightly pricey for Asian food.
I love this place! It has fantastic food and it is so fresh! The atmosphere is gorgeous at night with the lighting and the service is fast and efficient.
The food is not good. Too salty. Not authentic Chaozhou dish. And the price is high. The fish is not bad there. But others are not worth trying.

The food is good quality and tasty. The lunch specials are a bargain and generous serves. Recommend the Hor Fun and omelette width beans.
