We stayed here with our tourer as had a family reunion in nearby Northallerton , Have to say it looked nothing like on the photos, we arrived quite late and were told which is our pitch to turn up to find the owners were cleaning their caravan in our pitch as it was next to the reception..Not what you want when you've just been stuck in traffic for 2hr..He moved it asap in fairness but just added to our day. The pitch we got was the only one available and can see why as it was a busy thoroughfare for fishermen and residents...luckily we were out all day so avoided a lot of it...Also the site was very busy too many vans/statics etc crammed into a small space..I had to stand what felt like in...
The caravan site is clean and includes two fishing lakes. The toilet and shower facilities are tidy and functional. Unfortunately, while I was fishing, the owner's daughter walked her dog in a clearly marked "anglers only, no dogs" area and stepped on my top kit, leaving a trail of carbon fiber behind. The owner promised to contact me about a replacement, but two months have passed, and I've heard nothing. The café is essentially a shed run by one person with just one hot plate, and the food isn’t very good. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
The location is very near a busy road, which can be quite noisy. The shower facilities were freezing, as there was no heating available. There was only one small hook for hanging clothes. The water in the showers was very hot, but you had to constantly hold down the push button to keep it running. There were no toilet roll holders; the toilet paper was just placed on the back of the water tank. Additionally, there wasn't enough parking space for cars and the power supply was inadequate. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back.
Beautiful set of luxury lodges enclosed in trees and close to a very tranquil fishing lake. Onsite cafe selling a wide range of homemade sweet and savoury dishes. Very short bike or car ride into Northallerton a bustling town with all the shops, cafes, pubs and supermarkets you require. Also close to a lot of beauty spots for relaxing wanders to more strenuous bike rides etc

This location primarily consists of permanent caravans, and the pitches available for tourers are not ideal. It doesn't seem well-suited for motorhomes either. Additionally, the site owner was quite unwelcoming.
Reason for the visit was to meet an old friend. The last time I was there when the wife and I stopped with our caravan. It certainly has improved in all aspects. Certainly a good place to visit .
Nice location, and a well maintained site with friendly helpful staff, clean facilities, and a lovely cafe with both indoor and outside areas to enjoy good food, hope to visit again next year.
Very quiet relaxing weekend shower block nipping clean. If you love to go fishing this is the ideal place. Tasty cooked breakfast in the cafe spot on
