"Solid burgers and fries. A mate and I cleaned up and ordered one of all the burgers on the menu and struggled to finish lol. The brioche was a little to buttery and rich. Loved the beef burgers, Mac and cheese was good but would prefer it in a combo burger. Great service guys keep it up"

The Parkside bar at the Bat and Ball is the bar that Sydney FC's supporter group 'The Cove' drink before home games at the SFS. Normally I predrink in Paddington, but I heard about their 'Tuesday night burger special' and I knew I just had to try it. I ordered the no-frills named 'Hamburger'. The presentation of the burger was really nice and looked like a classic 'hamburger' should look like. Whilst the pattie was cooked a little more than I'd like, it was still moist and juicy, with the flavours on the burger working so well. The red onion, tomato and lettuce were fresh and provided a tasty crunch with each bite. The burger sauce was flavoursome and was perfectly applied so it gave a well...

Don't always judge a pub by its facade, because sometimes (not always) it might turn out to be a gem despise scruffy exterior. I never felt the temptation to visit this pub but after exhausting all options in Surry Hills for a first time experience, we popped in Bat and Ball for a quick drink. Apart from lager on tap, there is also a good selection of craft beer. For a pint of craft beer (New Towner) and a glass of wine, it's $18, not bad by Surry Hills standard. The interior and random objects suggest this is an English themed pub - large London Underground network map on one end and dartboard on the other. Multiple mounted TV screens were showing different sports channels. A whiff of roa...

They do not offer a single meal that is completely vegetarian and when I asked if they could simply remove the cheese from a dish the employee said she wasn't even going to suggest it to the kitchen because they don't like "substitutions". The staff were very rude and instead of politely telling me it couldn't be done she made sure to act like I was being a very difficult customer in having asked. No vegetarian options and rude service.
