I tried Paros Souvla around the time that it first opened and it has never failed to prove itself further in quality of food and service. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable and for the large portion that is provided, it works out to be a bang for your buck. I am obsessed with the Village Salad (the slab of feta is always a highlight) and the perfectly tender and well-seasoned roast lamb. The staff is very genuine and kind and I have never had a problem with anyone or anything that they have served me. If there is any casual Greek fare in Calgary that I would recommend to friends it would absolutely be this place.
Ordered delivery for 2 on Friday, Jan 29th. Large Village salad, lamb plate, chicken plate, and 1 baklava. They were out of rice which I found weird, ordered fries instead. Order was made at 6pm and finally delivered 8 pm. 2 hours!!!! Salad had way too much dressing. The pita tasted stale. The small portion of roasted veggies were soggy and overcooked; it was hard to even tell the veggies apart. The single chicken skewer was small, flavourless, and overcooked. The fries were a soggy heap. Not worth the $70 for 2, which was the total after tax, delivery, and tip.
The service is always great and quick. Everything made to order. I don't eat meat but their salad, vegetables, and lemon potato options are superb. I have eaten here over 20 times and they treat you well. The tables could be nicer and made so they don't wobble but the food is so good I can overlook this one small problem.
If you’re looking for fresh, big portions, great flavour, super staff at a Greek restaurant, look no further. Five of us ordered a variety of items from the menu and everything was fantastic. Then to top it off, homemade baklava made an Aunt of the staff, We’ll make this a regular stop for sure.
