Terrible experience. I was traveling with my family for Christmas markets and needed to have breakfast. This place was pointed out by the local office of tourism as the only place where I could have breakfast seated with my kid (it was snowing). Unfortunately they have space and tables but they prefer you to take the food and leave probably to make more profit out of the quick turnover. Plus they're very rude and they kicked me out of the place as I had a dog on the leash cso I had to wait in the snow with no food, while my family was having an uncomfortable breakfast standing up near the tables (they put the chairs on the tables to avoid people sitting). Excellent pastry with possibility to sit at the table (although with few covers available) and enjoy a bathroom, often necessary for a regenerating stop. We stayed here for a snack after turning Eguisheim with a snowfall going, and enjoying a hot chocolate, a cup of tea and two delicious tarts was fabulous. Chocolate was not exceptional, the tart with berries and cinnamon instead was delicious! Very kind staff, right prices.
Eguisheim is a village to roam and there is no better accompaniment than a French pastry. Even though I believe this is the only patisserie in Eguisheim, it's a good one. Their chocolate croissants and simple butter croissants were delicious. We ordered at the counter and took them with us to snack on while we explored the beautiful village streets.
Nice location. Delicious apple cake. Waiter was overwhelmed. Serving people who just arrived whilst others already waiting were ignored This was before lunch. Quicker to rder a takeaway coffee and cake. Then sit on a public bench and enjoy.
