This comment comes out of a holiday which would probably be better described as a journey – we started in Calgary, went by bus and train across the Rockies to Vancouver, then flew to Vancouver Island and into the Canadian fjords before going back to Vancouver and home. On a long road trip with many stops it becomes difficult to remember all aspects of each hotel and exactly what happened where: all that really sticks in mind is the major good and bad points of each venue. Therefore this review is rather sketchy but gives first impressions which may be useful. The main thing that stick in the mind bout this restaurant was the drinks: or lack thereof. Despite ordering drinks they never arrived,...

Our first time here. We started with calamari, tender squid rings panko-breaded and deep friend, served with a sweet chili sauce. Very good! If the coating were a light tempura, it would evoke our favourite Thai squid rings ever. Green papaya salad is a favourite for us in summer, and this was a very good version. Enough spice and acid without being overwhelming, and very refreshing. We finished with the spicy rice noodle dish, just for a change of pace from Pad Thai. I felt like I wanted more noodle, but the dish was very flavourful and satisfying. The room is larger than I had thought, with some nice decoration but not a consistent theme yet. Service was very friendly. Next time I will kno...

On a recent visit to Vancouver tried this restaurant based on reviews on Tripadvisor and Google and was very disappointed. My fiancee and I love Thai food (or good Thai food) and happened to be in the New Westminster Quay area visiting friends, so decided to give it a try. The place is cheaply decorated and offers very little in form of ambience, no warmth or character and we hoped the food would make up for it. The food! We started with the spring rolls which were very oily and burnt. The Pad Thai was bland and had very little in the form of tamarind sauce, it tasted more of ketchup. The Papaya salad was the biggest disappointment and we just left it after a couple of bites. At the beginnin...

Stayed at a hotel nearby and went twice in three days. We tried the green curry and the penang curry. Could not decide which was better. Both had fantastic taste. Pad Thai was also very nice. One of the best Thai food we have eaten around the many countries we have been in.
