Just went for a meal. Plenty of parking outside. You cannot fault the food... excellent at every level. However the service was slow. We had finished our starters and waited 30 mins... then two mains arrived but the table wasnt cleared from the first course. Similarly the same with dessert. However the staff are polite and apologised. Improve the service and this will be a gem of a restaurant.
Popped in for evening meal ,what a revelation. Hadn't booked got dog in tow so sat outside. Friendly welcome, had amazing starter the scallops, panchetta on cerliarac mash . Mains fish n chips for me and the mrs had chicken in mushroom sauce with dauphinaus both quality dishes . Mr Michelin needs to pay a visit, attentive staff and welcoming Friendly locals . Worth the journey imho
Lovely little pub with rooms. Jean was a fantastic host who let us check in early so we could get changed for a wedding at Rhyse Farm. Room was lovely and quiet with good facilities Cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious Would recommend for anyone staying in the area
A beautiful old pub. Food was delicious and the clearly new-to-the-job waitress was as helpful as she could be. Service was a bit slow for us, but perhaps ok for others. Sadly the bolt on the Ladies toilet was broken, which wasn't good and yet should be easy to replace. Book a table now
Best Sunday roast around… have the choice of how the beef if cooked, I prefer mine medium rare and you can literally cut with a butter knife! Veg is nice and fresh and the gravy is to die for… defo me out regular for Sunday dinner once a month from now on
My partner and I were camping around the corner and we came here for food in the evening. We had two steaks and I have to say we really enjoyed them. It was a quiet meal out which was nice. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.
What a treat, we went round to introduce ourselves as new neighbours with one of our sons and his partner. What an ace place, the food is amazing and the service is excellent with a lovely vibe.
