Oh.. this place is awful.. regulars are defensive of anyone coming into 'their ' bar, which obviously means they are the only customers. Not a great recipe for a successful business. Dirty glass, frowned at when it was asked to be changed.. not a sign of trying to make the place. It 's been a long time since this was a go to venue and it 's not hard to see why.
The venue is spacious and offers a wide selection of drinks. Unfortunately, we couldn't dine there because their catering is handled by an outside service, and they don't offer any gluten-free options on the menu.
This is a lovely, friendly pub with great beer at reasonable prices. While I didn't try the food on my latest visit, I've eaten here before and found it to be very tasty and good value. I definitely recommend it!
decent pub and the beer is cheaper than others forst ave pubs. the pool table is in good order though the queen must replace! the outside seats look tired, but makes the job. nice pub in all Book a table now
OK for a swift one but place has a funny smell about it and is in desperate need of some tlc. Toilets are a disaster with no soap or working hand dryer. Pint was OK though so that's a bonus.
nice friendly pub. good fair and decent prices. Eat is available, but I didn't waste as I've eaten here, and eating was very nice and good price. I recommend
Fantastic place! It was my first time in Hull for a football match (Hull City vs Nottingham Forest). Jimmy, the staff member, was very polite and courteous!
Was a mid week visit, so very quiet, only about 6 patrons. No food was being served. The Guinness was spot on tho, so cellar is looked after. Book a table now
I've dined at this carvery a couple of times, and it's been a lovely experience. Jimmy, in particular, is extremely friendly and welcoming!
