The coffee was enjoyable, but the breakfast sandwiches at this restaurant fell short of expectations. Both the Turkey Bacon Egg White Sandwich and the Bacon Cheddar Brioche had very little bacon, making it difficult to get a proper flavor. Additionally, the buns were rubbery, and the bread on the Egg and Cheese sandwich was tough, almost as if it had been microwaved several times. It was a puzzling experience, especially since the food is usually of higher quality at the Alameda location.
The register baristas working this afternoon NEED to be evaluated for their customer service. Maybe they were all having a bad morning or something but they treated ?certain? customers far better than others. Two different baristas took my order because the first one, tag said Josh, just walked away and started helping someone else without a word or explanation. I?m hoping this wasn?t due to race but it did seem to be a common factor with all the orders following mine.
I absolutely love Peet’s Coffee, and the location on Piedmont Avenue at 41st is fantastic. It's an artsy part of Oakland with a Bohemian vibe that makes it really special. There are plenty of intriguing shops to explore and fascinating people to encounter. I highly recommend checking it out! Enjoy your visit!
This is your typical Peet?s, with the exception of covered pasties, which is a definite plus. If the flies land, they will land on the Saran Wrap and not your food. The baristas weren?t all that friendly but not all the way rude either. Book a table now
how can i keep from going to peet's? short answer: i can't! it's impossible! peet's got me. peet's got me...or at least my (now) large mocha no whip regular milk. please and thank you always. and a pumpkin bread or three.
I am a huge fan of the Crispy Ham Swiss breakfast sandwich. The crunchy bread complements the gooey Swiss cheese and ham filling beautifully, resulting in a mouthwatering combination. Delicious!
The drink had a medicinal flavor, and the coffee cake felt undercooked, despite usually being a favorite of mine. Additionally, I asked for oat milk, but it tasted like soy instead.
The staff is friendly, and you never have to wait long—often not at all. The restaurant is well-staffed and kept clean. Oh, and did I mention they serve great, fresh coffee? Book a table now
