This restaurant is most definitely known for their seafood and especially the ceviches. We got the scallop ceviche and langoustine & shrimp tartare the first time. Both were plated well and tasted even better. It was so good we had to come back a second time. This round we got the beef tartare and the fish du jour in a tong yum sauce. Each were pretty decent but nothing to write home about. The actual star of the show on both days was the anchovy butter that came with the bread. To be honest we actually just came back for that pat of butter and it was well worth it.
Peixes is the kind of place that feels like a friendly neighbourhood restaurant, but is actually in the heart of Nice's pedestrian zone. The menu is short, and I get the impression that every item on the menu was probably very well thought out. The ceviche was delicious, with superb presentation and beautifully balanced flavours. The prices might be a little bit higher than neighbouring restaurants, but for the quality of the food and the lovely service, it's worth the little bit of extra.
Hi there,We are a foodie couple that loves to goto restaurants and try new food. However, this restaurant did not live up to our expectations.Non-attentative and non-personal staff that rushed around and ignored everyone that was not regular customers. The food was fairly good, fresh dishes but basic and overpriced.Nice has a lot of nice resturants - go somewhere else to eat! :)/Kristin & Elyes
we have been eating on several occasions in this nice fish restaurant, the fish is fresh, and fabulous, we can recommend all dishes. non stop service from noon to evening. the owner of the famous restaurant "chez antoine" has succeeded in a short period of time to open four excellent restaurants in the old city of nice, chez antoine, le bar des oiseaux,le comptoir du marché. congratulations!!

We loved this restaurant so much we came here twice on our trip to Nice and tried to dine a third time but it was closed on Mondays! The food is incredible and definitely one of my favourite restaurants. You must get the stewed octopus with gnocchi and the beef tartare - they are fantastic! Couldn't recommend this restaurant more!
A great selection of small dishes- very tasty and interesting flavor combinations. The ceviche was amazing. We tried the duck and the fried calamari chips- all was great! Recommended!
There are not many options but the menu is very creative with a variety of components that result in exquisite plates. I had a white fish ceviche with oisters that was really good
We stayed in nice for a couple of days and ate here during lunch. Fish of the day is delicious and the bread too. I highly recommend This place.

I had an amazing tuna tartare with wasabi! My friends had oysters and gnocchi with octopus that was great! The portions are small but delicious.
