"This place used to be nice! The tea set we had our food on was missed matched, tea stained saucers, chipped! Not what I was expected! We ordered the peninsula tea $21. The food average for the priced paid. The service was terrible! I recommend you go somewhere better!!"

I booked high tea for my friends baby shower and was terribly disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. I had my own baby shower here 18 months ago but things seem to have gone seriously downhill since then. It was a cold and wet afternoon so I had requested a table inside. This was no issue as there was no one else there but with both sets of bifold doors open and no heating we may aswell have been outside. It was cold and uninviting. We kept our jackets on. The afternoon tea was high on quantity but of very average quality. Most disappointing was a few reheated party pies on the savoury plate. The scones were the best of a bad lot served with jam and cream and the sweet laye...

Would give 0 if I could. Booked ahead of time and they only brought enough out for half of us. Much later they told us that our high tea had been taken to someone else's table. We also had to chase them for about an hour to get the vegetarian high tea we had ordered for one of our party. Milk wasn't delivered until we had made multiple requests. The staff couldn't speak english so weren't able to address our concerns. The bread for the sandwiches was stale and so were the scones. The ratio of sweet to savory is very off. A pity because it's a lovely location.

Nice bit of nature tucked away in a near city suburb. Scenery is great particularly in the afternoon. Service was ok but not great. I found the food we ordered wasn't worth the price. Placing of the plates were incorrect as well. See picture. They had a good selection of teas and were happy to top up with hot water when it got cold.

This place used to be good but has gone down hill recently. No real service and no fine china like before. The Penisula High Tea ea was not worth $26.90, scones and bread weren't fresh, cakes were boring and no variety and overall waste of $55. Spent 20 minutes there and would not go back.
