"You can’t fault this restaurant, food is always good and the staff are fabulous. We chose an alternative to our usual and had sea bass and a pork dish, both were fantastic and didn’t disappoint. The extras are also greatly appreciated, chocolate and liquor. See...you again soon."

pepes is beautifully placed on a road near the church. the service is quick and helpful. when they sit, they get broth with two sauces, tomato and garlic. this costs 3,20€ and they will not receive information about it, so...if they don't want it, they say it like that! most restaurants in torrevieja does not cost extra for the brot, so it is easy to take, of course, that it is included, as they do not get informacion that it does not. make sure to check their billing what is ordered. I ordered a beer and his tercio, which means the third. eating was nicely laid, but nothing special. bathy seasoned, served only with lemon so that no sauce that can be a bit dry if they did not leave the sauce...

Oh boy have we had some great lunches here. The del dia is simply amazing with over half a dozen choices of starters and mains (paella is really good as are the grilled sardines), deserts to finish with all washed down by some really good...vino tinto. Then to cap it all they bring out complimentary (imitation) Baileys and that yellow liqueur. We always get the bus here and then stumble home in a taxi that Pepe's will order for you. Try it. It's tucked away down a side street and has a covered outside area with burners (or fans in summer).

portions were very slender, but the worst surprise for me was to order turbot, which is a delicious shallow fish and a plate of bones that was clearly not a flat fish. Perhaps the worst I ever had in Spain....In a party of 8 was perhaps a happy. paella, who is only rice with little taste and not much else, was one of my friends disappointments. iberico secreto, which is in the round 4 or 5 small pieces meat. obviously try to decouple for a bad year and make our year even worse. I'm sorry, but that was a bit ruined at night.
