Friendly owner of a coffee shop that has been around for a pretty long time. Ordered breakfast for two, to go. One order of grits with cheese, eggs over easy and sausage patty. Did not travel well, 2 american cheese slices placed on top of the grits, with no love whatsoever. The eggs werw scrunched up on the side of the pan and one lonely sausage was included with the platter. Corn beef hash scrambled eggs and home fries was the second order. Potatoes were not cubed or cut potatoes but rather shaved potatoes, bland and boiled without seasoning, which i found peculiar becaise I asked the woman taking my order for extra onions and peppers and she assured me that the home fries already included...
First of all the first thing i wanna point out is the crackheads inside and right in front of the place that kill the vibe really really fast and the whole entire feeling of even wanting to eat there just goes away right at the very first moment you see them or step foot inside ...... secondly i would have to say their plates are all messed up with scratches that make it look so old . and its not hard to tell that these owners are tired of a few people that come inside the place that are up to no good .. but god damm the food is great .. its just sad that the place is now and always filled up with tecatos .
This restaurant on Third Avenue is a hidden gem without any advertising. I discovered it by chance while visiting my doctor next door. I tried the chicken soup, which was outstanding, followed by a heavenly fresh hamburger and a delicious milkshake for dessert. I left feeling satisfied and not overly full. I will definitely be returning for this exceptional experience. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the cashier was friendly and attentive.
