The roast beef Pete's Supreme sandwich at the restaurant was excellent. One drawback was the sporadic timing of the food. Five out of six of us had almost finished eating before the sixth person received their food. I observed this happening at other tables as well. It seemed to be more of a kitchen issue rather than a server issue, especially since there were only two servers working at the time. This situation may be a result of the post-COVID work environment. Despite this, it was still a positive dining experience.
Part of our meal showed up 10 minutes before the other half and food was cold by then. Apparently there is new kitchen staff causing the hold up. Had to flag down another server to get our toast. The soda was over $3 per glass. Breakfast for two with the hasbrown casserole was $34.
Pete's is like stepping into a 1960's style diner. Despite living just a mile away, the food, prices, and service have never let me down. It's a rare find these days. I can always count on a delicious, freshly made breakfast every visit. Keep up the excellent quality! Thank you!
