Terrible experience with the manager. A few days ago I purchased 2 bologna egg and cheese sandwiches and home fries. My home fries had hair and a piece of bacon in it. I returned the fries and was offered a refund. I opted to have a free meal at a later date because I work close by. I returned days later to get the meal and was disputed about the price of my initial purchase. I never raised my voice nor was ever even upset. She decided I had an “attitude” and asked me to leave and then called the police. I hate to bring race up but I’m a tall black guy wearing a suit and tie. I was treated with respect by all the other employees. This manager was disrespectful and condescending. I never lost...
I haven't visited this Roanoke staple in several years, but I've been on this earth long enough to remember their original location in Crossroads Mall. Simply as good as I remembered it. Restaurant has a very clean and uncluttered feel to it, which makes it inviting as soon as you enter. We are able to seat ourselves immediately, and waiter was very efficient and friendly. My wife had the Reuben, and I got the Grilled Chicken Supreme, which was an excellent value that included fries. Both sandwiches came out fresh, hot and delicious! Over the years Pete's has always been consistently excellent, and warrants our next visit sooner rather than later.
We ate breakfast at Pete's yesterday, and it wasn't very good. I have been there several times and the food AND service were always pretty good. The sausage gravy was luke warm at best. My French toast was burnt and not very good. We asked for crispy bacon. Some of it was rubbery and some was hard as a brick. The waitress was not very friendly and hardly checked on us at all. She got an attitude when we complained about the gravy. Probably be a while before we go back if ever!
We keep returning for the haddock. I've heard great things about the catfish as well. The service is excellent, the portion sizes are generous, and everything tastes fantastic. We've been here multiple times for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Book a table now
An omelette usually incorporates ingredients instead of rolling them in an egg wrapper. Potatoes seem like they’re from frozen. Coffee is bitter. Service was ok but they don’t open until 8 so they had to serve everyone at once. Won’t be back.
Two good meals in a row makes this place definitely worth a visit. From the open faced turkey with mash potatoes, Turkey club with chips and the coconut merengue pie everything was spot on
First time eating here,Fabulous prices, great food, Cant wait until I'm in my mid 70s to return, when I am old enough to fit in with the crowd.wonderful staff
