My friend and I wanted to try something new. He knew of this place from a buzzfeed video on YouTube. We definitely knew that we had to try the escargots. The host was very kind and welcoming. Our waiter, Jacob was professional and kind. I asked for a tea with little caffeine and when he told me they were out, he recommended another that would suit me and he was right. The burgundy escargots were delicious! I wished I tried it when I was in Paris, but Paris came to Sherman Oaks! We later had our second course of the skirt steak frites and a big mec burger. Hands-down the best Croque Madame or Monsieur in all of Los Angeles. I have been to pretty much all of the French bistros in town and constantly come back to this one. I even chose this place as my birthday breakfast back in April. I usually go to the location closer to me down in Los Angeles for dinner but I always come up here to the valley for breakfast because parking is easier and I like the design on the inside of this restaurant more than the Southern location. Each plate brought a different element to the experience, we left with a full belly and happy faces.The staff was very helpful through out the night. I’ve heard this location has much more space than the other so that was a plus. No reservation and we ate during prime time Sunday dinner with no wait, room was full as well and they did not miss a beat service wise.Very impressed!
Food is as good as advertised. Shared the steak tartare, marinated olives, and Big Mec. Each was excellent great flavors combined well. The sauces on the Big Mec are divine. It's definitely pricey, but great ad a splurge.
