Rating is for delivery and cold food. Took 2 hours before I got my order. First off, online ordering didn't work so I had to call in. I was told 50 min after placing my order. I called at 60 min and was told driver was just about to leave. Then another 30 min later, I called again. Mind the restaurant is only a 2 min drive from where I work. Was now told driver called me but no answer and it was because they had the wrong phone number (switched last 2 numbers around). I remember repeating my number to her 3 times at least and she repeated it back to me too. Driver will come back out now. 30 min later, get a call from driver to come pick up my order. Petra Falafel is small but inviting. There are a few tables to sit at if you'd like, but both times I've gotten their food I have taken it to go.The chicken shawarma is lovely, its flavors fresh, with a nice bite to it. The baba ganoush is absolutely delightful, being very smooth, light and perfectly seasoned. Finally the hummus is a must. The texture and spices of their hummus make it stand out, and I can't leave there without a separate order of it. I'm happy to come back every time.
I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but I was let down. The chicken in the shawarma was dry and had an aged taste, without any flavorful sauce to enhance it. The falafel was also underwhelming; it wasn’t crispy, which might be a result of it being takeout. Overall, I would rate the food 2 out of 5.
The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. We were never offered drinks or even water, and our server didn't check on us at all during our visit. She was lovely, but unfortunately, she just didn't provide good service. Overall, I would rate the food as 3 out of 5.

The food at Petra is consistently delicious! I often find myself craving the kafta platter, which I order at least once a week. The portion is generous, and sometimes I even enjoy it for both lunch and dinner. The falafel is undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted. Food: 5/5
