"I had a relaxing Sunday arvo with friends at the Petrie Hotel listening to Dirty Dice. The meals were cooked perfectly and would return again for dinner one night. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to see Dirty Dice again in the near future at the Petrie Hotel. Donna M"

I am truly disappointed with the food at this restaurant. My three friends and I are regulars, and while most times our meals have been okay, this time was a letdown. I was excited to have a nice meal with my friends, but when my WARM winter salad arrived, it was nothing like I expected. The salad was supposed to have pumpkin, tomatoes, feta, and pumpkin seeds, with added chicken. However, I received a simple lettuce salad with no pumpkin, hardly any pumpkin seeds, minimal feta, a few baby tomatoes, and a small amount of chicken. This same issue occurred with my friend's Caesar salad and another friend's winter salad. After waiting for over 45 minutes, we were informed that there were no egg...

I have often visited this venue. Most times the food is excellent and the staff are always fantastic. I chose to go to this place yesterday, and again I can't fault the food, and the staff as always polite, friendly and fun. However the venue has chosen a route that is impersonal and not for everyone. There was no menu to be seen, not even one posted on a board. A large notice at the entrance stated a Digital Menu and ordering. For those of us who do not use mobile phones this is not good news. I want and require a physical menu I can hold. One of our group tried to use a mobile phone but it did not react to the code to show the menu. None of us were impressed, to the point that we will avoi...

My wife told me of her experience. She said there was a musty stale smell on entering the hotel where they were dining. She said the staff were excellent and the place was clean. Her experience with the meal was very disappointing. She had the seniors grilled steak and salad no chips and asked for it medium. The steak approx 150 gram was like boot leather , ie very gristly and was cooked medium rare. You would have thought the chef could have given a little more salad in place of no chips since the cost was $18 for a senior. The size of the salad was a cup full. She only ate the steak as she was extremely hungry. Never going back.

Went to the Petrie Hotel for the first and last time for a drink and punt with some mates yesterday. The bar staff are pleasant but it has to be the smallest, basic sports bar I have ever been to. There is a large TV near the bistro and pokies that could have been suitable but the location of the bistro prohibits this so overall not a well designed pub.
