Petritegi is a fun Basque sagardotegi, or restaurant specializing in cider. We came here on a recent August evening with several people and had a great time sampling the cider and eating the traditional cider house meal. One unique aspect of Petritegi is that you can taste the cider from the huge barrels year round. Most cider houses only offer this type of tasting—where an attendant opens the spigot and sprays the cider as you hold your glass several feet away—during the cider season from January through April. Don’t let the initial welcome fool you. We arrived early completely my fault. Staff were busy setting up so had no real time for us. We waited for our booked time and then were treated very kindly by the staff. Our waitress was very happy and patient with us not having much Spanish let alone Basque. She showed us what to do, what food to choose and how to go to the cellar and fill our glass with the cider straight from the vat. Petritegi siempre compensa. Mira que he ido a Sidrerías por todo el país vasco, pero lo rico que hacen aquí el menú de sidrería y lo bien que te tratan siempre… no lo he encontrado en otras. Para nuestra os dejo las fotos que he hecho hoy mismo. ¡Se me cae la baba (otra vez) solo de verlas!
Si de verdad quereis probar una verdadera sidrería vasca con esta no os vais a confundir. Recomendada 100%. Visita obligatoria. El bacalao un espectáculo. La carne muy rica. Yo no bebo sidra y no puedo opinar.

Estuvimos muy a gusto, todo muy rico. Cenamos tortilla de bacalao y otra de hongos, chuletas, rape y postre nueces, queso y membrillo.
Sidreria Sublime. Visita Guiada muy Buena y Amena. Luego el Menú Riquisimo y que decir de la Sidra para repetir cuando se vaya.
