4.5 stars. Favorite for hot noodle soup! Authentic and family-owned spot that has nursed me back to health when I was recovering from the flu or a night out. Love their Bun Bo Hue Chay and veggie spring rolls. I've also tried their veggie pho which I wouldn't recommend, but the seafood pho was good! Service is quick and straightforward, and has been rude here and there, but the food is too good for me to honestly care! I'll always put people on to it.
The Bun Bo Hue at this restaurant has improved significantly, becoming more flavorful. If you're unfamiliar with what Bun Bo Hue tastes like and you're curious, it's essentially a more robust version of pho broth with added lemongrass and fish sauce, giving it more depth and a burst of flavor. It's also a bit spicier. If you enjoy bold flavors, give this a try.
This is definitely the best meal I've had in a while. The A14 Papaya Salad Goi Du Du was delicious. The crispy chips were a pleasant surprise and the shrimp was large. The Vietnamese coffee was perfect and the broth in my 37 Chicken Noodle Soup Pho Ga Xe was amazing. I would give this meal a 10 out of 10 and I definitely plan on ordering again soon!
The beef broth here is omg so good!! Its rich and flavorful but well balanced. Perfectly fatty but not greasy. The additions and lemon enhance the broth instead of clashing or overpowering it. I have been ordering here like 3-4 x week because it is reasonably priced and I am actually addicted. I love them. Book a table now
Family owned eatery with delicious vegan pho! Most pho restaurants I’ve been to just have tofu and vegetable pho as the vegetarian/vegan option, but they have vegan beef and fish here! Definitely now my go-to Oakland pho spot.
Ordered the 3. Rare Steak Pho Pho Tai large and when it got there it was such a tiny portion, the broth also was not packaged well and spilled all over but the meat portion was good and thick
Not very accommodating to customers. Very small business. Seems like no order amongst the workers when busy. Food tastes good.
