We made a visit to Bad Durkheim during their annual Wurstmarkt Fest and were thankful to find a restaurant open and available for lunch. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The food was very good. In our group we had two pizzas ...the pizza margarita and a pizza romana and the penne arribiata along with a side salad. The pasta was, for once, actually spicy and the pizzas were both very good. We enjoyed the local beer and wine and apple schorle. Visitors should be careful to step down while walking to the restroom it is marked, but in German

Visited this restaurant for dinner together with my friend who was in town to visit. What a disappointing dinner, not to mention how embarrassing it had been for me as I had wanted for my friend to experience only the best of Bad Dürkheim! The food was only mediocre. On top of that, the waiter was very arrogant and spoke to us in a condescending tone. I spoke German, but because my friend didn't (understandably as she is a tourist), he was impatient with her. There was no service so to speak. I will never visit this restaurant again.

my partner and I stayed in bad durkeim 1 night. very quiet town. this place looked quiet and were seated outside. staff a little busy talking to locals, but friendly enough when serving. we just ordered red wine and a couple of pizzas. nothing special but not bad either. waited a while for the bill so went inside to pay. we were not setting out for a special night or meal as very tired with driving on a road trip all week so this laid back relaxed attitude suited us.
We have been enjoying here the authentic Italian food many times. Friendly staff and good price for value! I like especially the pizzas, but the pasta and the Italian meat dishes (sometimes they even have fresh fish as indicated on a blackboard) are also okay.Be aware that the place is quite small and it may be crowded, so I recommend a reservation especially for the weekend.
Definitely recommended! We are often and always very satisfied. Whether pizza, pasta or just salad. The dishes are always fresh and tasty. In addition, the service is truly exceptional. Kindness and competence of first quality. I can only recommend the small chic restaurant in the heart of Bad Dürkheim. I look forward to the next beautiful evening in Romana.
