Our family stayed in Artesia while on a trip to visit the Carlsbad caverns, and decided to try this place out despite the bad reviews about the service. We walk in and no one greets us so I look around and there is a table where all the waitresses are sitting. One of them yells from the table we can sit anywhere. We sit down and after about 5 minutes one of them gets up and brings us silverware. She never speaks and looked like she didn’t want to be there. She comes back and brings us bread and dip which is really good. I ask her to wipe the table down because it’s dirty(food and crumbs). Odered food to take back to Carlsbad with us a couple of months ago. Asked that the included spaghetti be left off. However, When we got home, it was all dumped on top of our food. Called and was offered 2 free dishes. Went today to collect the free food. (one was to go back with us to the lady here that missed out the 1st time. Was told she couldn 't have hers-I had to eat it. I told her I would like to purchase my own meal. NO way. I ate the bread and the spaghetti our friend couldn 't and took it with me anyway. I had a delightful dinner at this restaurant. The food was quite good, earning a solid 4 out of 5 for its taste and presentation. The service, however, was the standout feature of my experience, receiving a perfect score of 5 for the attentive and friendly staff.
