This place was amazing tonight. Don't be fooled by the pub in the title, this place is upscale. It is a fine sit down meal after driving all day exploring. It has a relaxing atmosphere and the owners go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. The food was great and fresh. There are plenty of seafood options and the burger is amazing as well. Couldn't have asked for more! Did I mention we walked in at the last moment? Not even the slightest bit of hesitation about serving us. We even offer to come back instead for lunch so they could close up. The owners wouldn't hear of it and welcomed us in. Truly and great meal.
I don't know how to express how much we enjoyed dinner at Pier 39. It is a beautiful place with great food and wonderful owners. Anne will go out of her way to make sure you have a lovely meal. My husband started with the Lobster Bisque that was exceptional, just the right amount of spice and nice pieces of lobster. The Caesar salad had a great dressing. The lobster dinner was beautiful and tasty. I chose the cheeseburger, not wanting a full meal, and was delighted with a homemade burger with wonderful flavor. I wish we were going to be in town longer so that we could eat here again.
This place is amazing!! We had a party of eight and we all loved everything. We all ordered the lobster meal which was a fantastic price. The meal included salad, soup, lobster, home made dinner rolls and home made butter, home made desert. Everything was presented so perfectly. The salad was even a work of art. These people know how to do things. The owner came to our table several times and was also the chef. I can't give ten stars but I would.
Exceptional decor and food! If you're in Twillingate, you must try this place. I had the full lobster meal with potato leek soup, and both were fantastic. I was told that the lobster came out of the water that day, and I could totally tell how fresh it was. The service was a little slow, but that was only because the restaurant was packed to the brim. The beautiful view of the Twillingate Harbour makes waiting easy though!
