Went on a food adventure with 2 other friends and was meaning to try this place. This was the 3rd place I endeavoured to try in a series of 6 that day. Was a little difficult to find, since you actually had to go walk on Pier 8, but when found, was greeted with a seriously quiet and graciously spacious floor to dine in.  Was very lucky, because we entered at 1:45pm on a Thursday, and they close their kitchen at 2pm. My friend and I shared a John Dory ($22), and my other friend ordered the spaghetti meatballs ($18), because many of the food options were already sold out.  The fish was very well cooked, and presented nicely. The service was excellent, with the waitress giving us a...

Coffee experience. Dropped by Pier 8 Cafe on the way to Barangaroo Saturday 12th September 2015 after fighting through the crowd of people high on chocolate at the annual Rocks chocolate festival. Staff were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is relaxed with an eclectic blend of different styles of seating and tables that works really well, including chesterfield lounges and low coffee tables, where you feel you could sit for hours to catch up. The ceiling retains the original exposed beams and block and tackle from the old ship working days, a nice piece of Australian history to reflect on while you are waited on. Food presentation and quality is everything you would expect from an inne...

Amazing location, very poor service. Came here with a group of 12 for a family breakfast. We were not attended to for the first ten minutes despite asking at the counter to place a coffee order. When the coffees arrived, they were cold... Food came out at different times and something as simple as cracked pepper had to be requested multiple times to a disgruntled waiter. Water on the table was not provided, you had to serve yourself in small plastic cups. When it came to the conclusion of our meals, we were hustled off our table by the manager. If you're looking for a dining experience, try next door or any other venue on the wharves ;)

I'm a local and used to love this place. Great location, gets the morning sun, and great food. But lately they have serious problems with the kitchen. Last time I ate here I waited over 30-mins for my breakfast to come out. Today I waited almost an hour and heaps of other tables were saying they had waited over an hour. Waiting an hour for an omelette while listening to a small child insistently ring a bell is TORTURE!!!!
