My experience at the Italian restaurant was a bit disappointing. Although the menu had a variety of appealing options, the execution of the dishes fell short in a few areas. The mussels were flavorful but disappointingly gritty, which took away from the overall enjoyment. The pizza was decent but didn't quite reach the level of exceptional Italian cuisine. The octopus was overcooked and too dry, lacking the expected tenderness. However, the highlight of the meal was definitely the bread. I am in town for a business trip and wanted to give a try to a nearby Italian restaurant close to my hotel. I must say, the food was quite impressive, especially since I am very particular when it comes to authentic Italian cuisine. The fresh bread and pesto dip were delicious, and the pasta and giant meatball were tasty as well (although I still think mine are better, haha!). Our server, Mike, and another trainee (whose name I didn't catch) provided excellent service and were very friendly.
Honestly, I was surprised at how yummy the pasta was! We made a reservation, I'm glad we did. This little hole in the wall gets packed!!! The food takes a while to make once ordered, but very worth the wait. For starters we got the complimentary bread 4/10 basic Greek salad 6/10 For main course we ordered the Carbonara 10/10 pasta al forno 7/10 Dessert Tiramisu 6/10 Overall, I'd come back for the Carbonara.
Hidden in an ordinary strip mall is this charming, family run gem.Huge portions, hot fresh bread, homemade pasta, delicious meatballs and rockfish. Our server Evie was helpful with suggestions and questions. We lingered over wine but never felt rushed. For a casual meal out of spaghetti and meatballs to a memorable family gathering over seafood- This is a reliably good choice.
