Took our 8 year old son here during a 2 night stay in Boulogne sur Mer. First to arrive (around 7pm), which sometimes feels odd, but owners were extremely welcoming and reacted warmly to our 'Pigeon-French ' attempts. We all had Moules et Frites, as we wanted to encourage our son to try them. He ended up 'borrowing ' some of ours! The place had almost filled completely by the time our main course arrived and, if I 'd had enough space, I would have tried one of the other dishes I saw, which all looked delicious. Chocolate mousse (son) and our desserts were devoured enthusiastically. What a delightful place. Will definitely visit again if we return to the town.
Here is a good address in BOULOGNE-SUR-MER in the old town. On the menu garlic cream mold and complete WELSH. But what a delight. For our second visit (and yes we went back) fish dishes and re-WELSH..... And yes it's good!!! The first day an old lady was waiting in the hall. I must admit that I like this local welcome. Once you have made the first contact it is great and friendly. We really loved it.....you really think I'm a masochist......oh no
The owner is very nice. Food a bit disappointing. Our plates were fries with fish. The fish was overcooked, and the sauce had little taste. It was not terrible, but would expect better in a restaurant. Altough not sure, the desert appeared to me like a piece of cake from the supermarket, with a scoup of icecream from the supermarket and some whipped cream from the supermarket.
We ended up in this restaurant a little random because all those we had spotted were complete. Home and service very nice, very nice. The kitchen is simple but rather good. We're not on madness either. The doughnuts of calamar, certainly frozen, fries not homemade, damage. But the fish of the day and the mussels were fine.
