the pita and the pendulum my opinion about this Mediterranean restaurant has sung from 'good' to a necessity improvement '. pita zone is located in a bolingbrook strip shopping center at the intersection of weber rd hassert; in this area are a subway, dairy queen and otobo, our neighboring sushi spot. they could be better off the online order; when I placed an order in person for a gyro and wrap, it took 20 minutes before it was finished. that's a long time for a few pretty fast things. the road down, covo or Fill-a-Pita can whip this in 4-5 minutes, tops, for them. of these three places that offer gyros, pita zone 's was the cheapest $7.50) their were also the only one that pickles on the s...
bad food, bad service. we ordered a gyros and a Greek salate. who puts pickles on a gyro sandwich and on a Greek salad? the pita and the flesh were not warm and the pita seemed stagnant! salat was rough, the dressing was good. the owner it seemed sat in the restaurant on a table with other businessmen and the children behind the theke did not seem a bit about their job or what they did. I know it's difficult to find no help today, which is decent, but really mr. owner? I hope they find out.
Delicious food and outstanding service! The staff were friendly, helpful, relatable, and patient. The vegetarian platter is vegan-friendly. They also offer Beyond Meat options (there's a sign on the door, but it's not listed on the menu). Their baba ganoush is homemade and absolutely AMAZING. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you’re vegan or not. We’ll definitely return when we're in that part of town. MAKE SURE TO CHECK IT OUT. You won’t regret it!
this is undoubtedly one of the best authentic Central Eastern restaurants in the west. eating is always fresh and tasteful. as I moved into the opposite a few months ago, I became a fan! the portions are also huge, so they are worth their money. the owners are really nice and friendly and the service is fantastic, I really can't find any mistakes on this place, even if I wanted. I like my eating on the spicy side so that the huh 911 is my personal favorite! Book a table now
I shouldn't of given 5 stars off the bat, i reviewed too soon...2nd visit was much worse, less food, worse service. I got the Chicken Combo meal. You're going to pay restaurant prices for okay, not great food, For a family of 3, buying the 3 cheapermenu items plus drink, was over $65. If you can afford that, more power to you. Just be warned.
I visited the restaurant for the first time yesterday and ordered the Chicken Kefta Kabab entrée, which was absolutely delicious! I was so engrossed in eating and savoring my meal that I forgot to take any photos. Today, I tried the lamb shish kebob, which is shown below. The meat was very flavorful, though a bit chewier than I prefer.
Absolutely delicious! The pickle was perfectly balanced, not too overpowering, and the cucumber added a nice crunch. The white sauce was fantastic, and the beef was tender, not chewy at all. I loved the pita wrap as well. Plus, the fries were amazing! The service was excellent too!
