I visited this restaurant in March 2023. The website advertised disabled access and a disabled toilet, but upon arrival, my sister, who has rheumatoid arthritis, and I found that the accessible bottom level with disabled toilets was not in use. The lower level was reserved for private parties and could accommodate up to 150 people for a buffet. The only option for us was to climb up the stairs to the top level, as there were no lifts available. I emailed Pizza Express with feedback in March and was informed that a response could take up to 7 working days. However, I did not receive a response until the 2nd of May, which stated that it could take up to 21 working days. It has now been 66 days...
Just popped in to meet two friends for a quick chat but ended up staying and having a few drinks and nibbles. They were not really busy but service was really slow. I’ve ordered liquor coffee, but coffee came without alcohol in it. That was rectified after I stopped the waiter. We had paid, tipped in cash, but then decided to have couple of shots for the road. Manager informed me that we can’t order drinks without the food. I’ve pointed out the fact we just paid the bill and wanted to have quick drink while we are waiting for an Uber. We booked to eat here on our way back from a day in London and were taken downstairs. We had kids and were given a main menu and kids takewaway menus. Not ideal for eating in as it did not have the correct items. Not a big deal as we used our phones to check the menus. Food was average but pizza sizes have shrunk post lockdown. I would no longer say the pizza is enough for a meal. The worst part was the kids brownies that we ordered were stone cold and hard. Must have come out of the freezer. We asked for them to be heated and after the micro they were put in, the were warm around the outside and cold in the middle. Not the best of experiences.
I visited Pizza Express for the first time and I will definitely be coming back! Our server, Daisy, was extremely helpful and engaging with my daughter. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill, especially considering we were in central London. The prices were even lower than some of my local restaurants. Everything was perfect - the service was impeccable, the food was hot and served quickly. We didn't have to wait for anything. I would give it a 12/10 rating. Daisy truly made our trip special. Thank you!

We first visited on our first evening in London as we were staying nearby. Tired after a long journey, we just wanted a quick bite to eat with our young children. Our Portuguese waiter was fantastic and we really enjoyed the food…the best Pizza Express we have experienced! Our children enjoyed it so much that we came again on our final evening. Great food and a nice wine selection.
We happened upon Pizza Express on a later-ish Sunday evening. It was delicious! Great menu options- I got a fantastic beet salad, my girls and hubby more traditional Italian fare. We loved our meal and there was a generous pour of wine and gin. Sometimes finding a later meal for the family can be tricky and these servers were happy to see us and attentive. Highly recommend!
It's the location that tips the balance here. If you get the choice go upstairs and get a window seat over looking the Thames and view of St Paul's etc. Staff were all very helpful. It is sill pizza Express so menu is not extensive beyond Pizza. Nice range of toppings and side dishes. Great price for location.
Service: ****. No attention, rude, no manners, headless chickens walking around paying no attention to service or people. Staff awful. WORST pizza express I’ve been too. Cold hearted, no service with a smile. They hate their jobs and everything is an effort. Roll of the eyes, huffs and puffs. JUST AWFUL.

This is a very busy but very good Pizza Express. Typical standard food but very well prepared and service excellent. Very good app and you can get free dough balls easily!
