Pizzeria Amalfi - Table reservation

You couldn 't get a more typical Italian pizzeria than the Amalfi: wood-fired oven, chequered tablecloths on the tables, shelves of wine bottles and wall murals of the Costiera Amalfitana . The pizzaiolo himself (i.e. chef) looks like the quintessential Italian guy from Naples. The staff is...very friendly (at least after a bit of ice-breaking) and the atmosphere very family-like. The food is pretty good and that is also the opinion of a few colleagues of mine whom I took to this restaurant and were happy to come back. We found this restaurant looking for somewhere to eat as a family as we were staying at a nearby airport hotel. The owner greeted us cheerfully and found us a table, which although near the door was comfortable, the only downside of the whole trip...was that because of our table's location, every time someone came into the restaurant we could smell rhe smoke from the people stood outside smoking. My children ordered pizza, which was handmade, fresh and more than they could manage, I had penne all'arrabiata, my favourite pasta dish, and it was the best I'd ever tasted. My husband ordered rump steak which was tender, delicately flavoured and served with potatoes and vegetable, a welcome change...

I was staying at the Meininger Hotel and did not want to eat their café food. The desk clerk told me Kelsterbach was the closest town 5 minutes away. Drove to Kelsterbach late evening on a Monday, and not much was open but a few...Kebap Houses and this place. We decided to try this place. Very good pizza, large food selection and very reasonably priced. Not much selection for drinks though.

We ate dinner here during a recent stay before a flight home from Frankfurt. The food was good and the owner/waiter was very friendly. Service was quick. The selection of Grappa was incredible. If in doubt as the owner and he'll gladly recommend one for...your budget.

only 20 euro for a tuna steak perfectly cooked (dender, soft,) with a lot of salat. it was a super meal
