We have been to the owners previous restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. Having been told that he had a new restaurant near the station we decided to try it. The menu is very similar to the one we had previously enjoyed. On this occasion, however, we were to be disappointed. We had no reservation but despite being a very busy Monday night, we were seated quickly at a well spaced table. Our order for starters and main courses were taken reasonably quickly and we were given a very good recommendation for the wine. Every time I make a review I ask myself what is it important in a restaurant! In this visit I discover that a great unsuspected aspect, beside location and food, is the mood of the people around you The great surprise in capricciosa is the mood. Their team is coordinated, Has a very deep good mood, is efficient relax and suttle. You feel it. It make a difference and it is noticeable. It is clear that the owner, the staff, have a porpoise which is ... the one of being there helping you enjoy the night. The location is good. Is not in the center too busy and crowded and deja vu, , it is at a crossing between, the way back from great walks, sky slopes, train station , road to Gap.... at a cross...
Restaurant has excellent pizzas. However, other dishes were less impressive. Green salad for example is a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce. I ordered the tarte tatin and the server got a plate out of the fridge and popped it in the microwave. So outside of pizzas, I would say caution is recommended.
Food was really great (and a very impressive variety of pizzas! and very friendly service. Would definitely return if I found myself in the area again in the future!
