We have been da Giulio for dinner, an evening when the German football team was playing at the EURO 2016 championship. So very few people and service very fast. And a very nice garden. At Da Giulio you can eat very good pizza cooked very thin in Italian style and in many possible combinations; all pizzas can be made small or large, as you prefer.Good choice also of first courses still italian style (pasta, lasagna, linguine, spaghetti) and of main courses, mainly based on Schnitzel prepared in many variations. What's been a pity, no dessert but only ice cream.Good prices, always depending on what you eat, you can have a starter and a main course with half-litre beer and a limoncello for 16-17...

We found this just by coincidence as we looked for a place to have dinner in Gernsheim. This was really a nice surprise, as we just walked in, immediately felt the warmth of Italian hospitality. Coming from Rome we felt at home. Food was exquisite...and not pretentious; same for the house wine. Service was great. The whole experience was just amazing! And on top of all that an incredibly low €. I haven't seen this kind of value for money for a while, especially in Germany!
