Pizzeria La Gondola

When I was at the Army Hospital in Wurzburg (for 2 months after an accident), they sent me a pizza and I don't know how fast my guys go, but it was still warm when I got it. When I came from the hospital, we were the first. Since I have eaten through a straw because it burned on my face, it felt God to eat GOOD solid food. They didn't let me pay for everything. I still have her card, although I don't remember Mama's name, I'll never forget the restaurant. paul

I only ate her pizza in 1962. I also served in the army in Ledward Barracks and I think they then delivered. We would order a lot of pizza. When I was eating pizza on the grounds in the area of the pizza restaurant. When I think of fantastic pizza, even many years later, I still think of La gondola. And here in CA we also have excellent pizza at the Round Table Pizza.

Very low key, quite restaurant with a solid Italian atmosphere inside. Menu was plentiful with plenty of options. Service was friendly and food tasty. Would definitely recommend this place! Didn't have the Gnocci as others have recommended but the pizza was solid itself. Will be back.

This restaurant will not get my business ever again. I have been there on four occasions and each time the same waitress has had very poor customer service skills. I never receive my food in a timely manner and it is not that good. I wouldn't waste the trip.

Breathe regularly in La Gondola in my 3 years in Schweinfurt, back to renew my memories in 1971. If it's like my friend Bill made it, a great stop. Too long ago to now provide any good insight.
