Visited this restaurant during a business trip to Dresden. Our host found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. He guaranteed that this was the place to be when you want to discover the local cuisine. When we arrived, we found a very cosy place that instantly gives...that comfortable welcome feeling. We started with a Plane Kellerbier, a regional unfiltered lager beer. Then as a starter, I had the Solyanka. A Very rich DDR soup garnished with sour cream. The Main-dish was a Ox Cheek “Robert Müller Style”… O.M.G. this was so delicious, the meat so tender that it melts in your mouth. The mashed potatoes super…. The food was good but when the bill came and we saw that they charge for a glass of water the mood changed fast. How can they charge such prices for a glass of water!? I even asked for tap water since the tap...water in Dresden is good for drinking, but the waiter said he wasn’t allowed to serve me. Now I know why. Nice way to do business... It shouldn’t be allowed to refuse to serve tap water for free, like it is in many other countries. Shame on you!
Got this place recommended by colleague living in Dresden. A short walk minutes) from the river and hidden in the backyard of another house we found the entrance. Found a nice spot to have a meal outside in the nice weather. Ordered beer and...food. Beer came quick but food took it’s time. Everything tasted nice and we would consider coming back for the atmosphere.
