Been before, had a takeaway. Was quite nice. Decided to take my partner and 6 month old baby for lunch. Got there at 1pm on a Saturday, the place is open serving people. For us to be turned around and told us the kitchen is closed but coffee is still being served. Turned down another customer behind us with the same answer. I would have thought a little coffee shop would have open arm invited us for food too if we wanted. 2x customers with a possibility of spending what £20 each? So because they couldn’t be arsed to cook some food they lost £40 of business! Yet they sit there with outdated decor and quite a dull appearance. Get some effort put in jeez!
I'm not sure why anyone has said anything negative about this restaurant. Maybe they were just having a bad day or being overly critical. I have been coming here for ten years and have brought my friends, family, and children here as well. I have never had a reason to complain. The hardworking staff at this clean and fresh restaurant deserve all the praise they can get. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly - what more could you ask for?
I used to be a regular at the Plotters for breakfast. Service and food was always very good and I always considered it the best place for a breakfast in Rothwell. Since the change of management a few months ago, while the menu remains unchanged there's definitely something missing, and the service was not so good. I hope it's teething problems and things will change over the coming months. In the meantime, my rating has dropped accordingly.
Having recently been taken over,by the new owner Dianne is certainly putting her mark on it with the start of her make over of the Cafe...The food and service are as good as always with their Breakfast being a hit with the locals ,local workmen and passing trade..Their Take Out service is popular to.

After a long day of shopping, we were famished and decided to stop by this restaurant. We were delighted to find that all the food was freshly made and delicious. The restroom was clean and stocked with fresh towels and hand cream. We highly recommend stopping by for a meal.
The service is friendly, the menu is simple, all the food is cooked well, and the prices are reasonable. It would be difficult to find a better place for a great breakfast in Rothwell.
Nice to site outside when you get the weather but just as nice inside. Bacon roll and mug of coffee just the job when you need a boost. Lovely local friendly staff.
Stopped in for late lunch to break a journey. Had one of the tastiest Lasagne I've had for a long time and good sized portion will definitely be back if in the area

Great breakfast, good choice, friendly service and central setting opposite free parking in Rothwell market place. Also hearty traditional dishes for lunch.
Good food, clean and friendly. Basic menu for cafe food but what you get is good value for money food. No frills good grills. All day breakfast recommended.
