"Great place, authentic Italian cuisine, good service, reasonably priced"
I’ve been going here regularly for all of my adult life and never thought of writing a review. Mostly because I just assume that everyone from within 50 miles of Aberdeen knows that it is just the best place to eat in Aberdeen. Excellent food, amazing atmosphere and wonderful staff. Nico is a local legend and has managed not to age at all in the 30+ years that I’ve been going. An absolute master class in authentic Italian dining. But I feel that I’m stating the obvious here; everyone knows that Poldino’s is amazing- that’s why it’s still thriving after all this time. 10/10 every time.
My first visit to Poldino's in years was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was nice and the food was decent. We enjoyed starters like bread, calamari, and pate, followed by mains such as steak, carbonara, and ravioli, and finished with desserts like ice cream and panna cotta. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but not exceptional. The menu was a bit limited, especially in terms of starters, and not as diverse as we had hoped for options beyond pizza and pasta.
This restaurant is very welcoming and kid-friendly, with a relaxed atmosphere. They serve delicious pizzas and pastas. However, be cautious of ordering the chicken cacciatora as it was undercooked and difficult to cut. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they promptly removed it from our bill without explanation, which was disappointing. We were celebrating a graduation and didn't want to cause a scene, so we didn't make a fuss about it.
Full 5 from me for this restaurant. The restaurant is in a lovely old setting of some kind. The staff were great. Friendly and chatty without being over fussy. The food was excellent, really excellent. I personally think that the restaurant frontage on the street doesn't reflect what you get inside. The outside makes it look like a medium market pizza place. Its not accurate at all. It is much much better than that.

Host is a true gentleman. Food is excellent and good value. The nicest lasagna I've ever tasted. Staff provide superb service and are very polite and attentive. Definitely will return.
Visited whilst working in Aberdeen. Lovely restaurant which is reasonably priced. Food was well cooked, presented and tasty. Certainly would visit again if I was in Aberdeen again.
Great service, good and generally love the other all feel of the place. We enjoyed the servers have been there since the beginning and feels like a warm family run business.
