The service we received at the restaurant was not up to par. We found our server to be indifferent and at times even quite abrupt. It was a challenge to get their attention when needed, and there was a significant delay in receiving our entrees. In fact, when our dishes finally arrived, one of them was completely wrong. The correct order took much longer than promised to come out. The atmosphere was also not enjoyable, as the noise level was extremely high. Despite the food being decent, it was nothing particularly special. Overall, our experience at Polpo was disappointing given its reputation over the years. It is now a place we will only visit reluctantly, rather than eagerly.
We had a fantastic time at Polpo! The restaurant is housed in what looks like an old saloon building. Parking is limited so the valet service was convenient. Remember to bring $4 for the valet. The food was delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the bouillabaisse with a variety of seafood. I opted for a wedge salad without onions or peppers and the eggplant rollatini appetizer, both of which were excellent. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning in the future!
I’d leave 0 stars if possible. From the ant on our plate, the back to back tables that were screaming next to us, or the fact that they forgot to bring my fiancé her birthday cake which was the whole point of the dinner. Truly a horrible experience. They also brought me the same wrong drink after I sent it back, passing it off as a new drink.
This restaurant is great for locals to enjoy a casual meal and drinks, but I wouldn't recommend it for special occasions. The food was basic and reminiscent of my local pizza place. The veal parm, frutti di mare, and Branzino dishes lacked flavor and were quite expensive. The Branzino was also overcooked.

Owner or manager was very rude and dismissive since we were not “ customers that dine there 5 nights a week”. We will never go back there for that reason. Food was yum and our waiter was great but we certainly don’t like being treated like second class citizens! Just awful and humiliating.
Outstanding food and ambiance. Bar tender was awesome! Wait staff had an attitude, unfortunately, that caused me to feel rushed and like a number, so to speak. And overall value was just OK compared to comparable restaurants in the area.
What a treat! We even got to meet the owners when we went to the bar to enjoy an after-dinner drink. Such a varied menu, we will absolutely be back to try more of the dishes.
