Very poor service. Took ages to get pompodoms and when they did arrive the dish they came in had stuck food on it!!! Only 2 pickles never had that anywhere in the world (alarm bells ringing). Waiting staff are not indian so don't know about the food. Had a Karachi chilli chicken, chicken dried out nothing on the menu stipulated the heat strength or anything else. My husband had chicken jalfrazi in all our years never seen a brown one he said it tasted like out of a jar. Pilau rice was brown should be white with coloured flakes! And the naan bread was left as again dried food stuck on serving plate. Never had such a bad curry and lack of hygiene as this AVOID if you know anything about PROPER...
We were in Ironbridge so decided to try this place. We had been before several years ago. Quite expensive, which I don’t mind as long as the quality is good. Popadoms to start. Chutneys have to be ordered separately! The chutneys were warm? Not from fridge! Yoghurt mint sauce was warm and the onion chutney also! The currys were £14.95 each! Chicken kharai and Murgh makani. Both very bland. I expected the kharai to have some good spices going and some heat but neither! The Makani was just bland! Very lacking in flavour! No sweetness at all! One coke , one water £43 Definitely wouldn’t go again!
Had a meal here. The waitress was sultry to say the least. I asked her what flavoured gins they had, asthe menu said ask your server she didn 't know, said she go and find out and never came back. Eventually a guy came over, I explained about the waitress, Tomy surprise he said I told her not to come back to you The Whitley Neill gins were £7.50 for a double and then you had to pay for the tonic, so had a beer instead. Broken up popadoms arrived on the table with not very nice tasting pickle tray. The main course was tasty but overpriced again. Hard floors made for a noisy atmosphere.
Despite the mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to try Pondi's for ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, including the chicken Madras and lamb sag mayam, which we found to be worth the extra money. The freshness of the ingredients and the succulent meat made a noticeable difference in the quality of the dishes. The restaurant's ambiance and decor were also charming. While the food service was a bit slow, the bustling atmosphere and full tables added to the overall experience of everyone dining together.

We visited here in the middle of July 2022. Can I start by saying we’ve been to countless Indian restaurants, all over the UK. This Indian we would return too. Slightly pricy, but not so bad, as some mains include rice. They definitely have the spice indicator right here. The menu is smaller than most Indians, but it’s got everything you need. We asked for a panner curry, which wasn’t on the menu and they made it for us, without fuss. The service is exceptional. The place is pretty and unique. Will return!
If you find yourself in Ironbridge, this is a must-visit restaurant. The old police station still showcases its original features while also offering delicious food. The waiter provided excellent service and offered helpful recommendations on the dishes, which were executed perfectly by the chef. This modern restaurant with a rich history provides the ideal ambiance for a memorable dining experience.
We are fairly local and have visited several times in the past but have not visited for the past few years. The food is still amazing and the staff are attentive. We had the pondicherry special platter to start which was very flavorsome and cooked to perfection. We followed this up with some curries and naan, all were brilliant. We will definitely be back soon
Amazing food and very friendly and attentive staff. A modern Indian set in a old police house. My young daughter was unsure whether to order Indian food as spice scares her, she decided on fish n chips from the kids menu, they very kindly offered to give her a rice and tandoori chicken taster on the side which she very much enjoyed, great touch!

Six of us recently dined at this restaurant and tried a variety of dishes. We were all impressed with the quality of the food. The new wait staff since our last visit were excellent. Four of us in our group are Asian and are familiar with Indian cuisine, and we were all very pleased with our meal. We will definitely be returning soon.
