First visit to this restaurant. As indonesian, we are very eager to find good and authentic Indonesian Food as a bandage for our homesick. We did our homework before enter the place and knew this place has been excel in prep the grill rice which prep with sauce, herbs and anchovie. We were greet by the waitres and showed the table. We didnt RSV. Order is done on cashier area. Pay outfront. We ordered as per photos. Meals were so great. So full of taste more than our expectation. I m personally never try grill rice, but i love it. The satay and the noodle were so yummy. Nothing can be complained about the meal. However going to the restroom is like going to small maze :D. Great authentic Indonesian cuisine. We stopped by on the way back to Melbourne to try this new joint. It has only been opened for 7 weeks. <br/ <br/ We ordered 2 mains Grilled Rice with Grilled BBQ ribs and Grilled Rice with Chicken as well as 2 sides Perkedel (Fried Mashed Potatoes) as well as Sayur Asem (Vegetable Soup). The food were delicious. Only the Sayur Asem were lacking in flavour but the rest was a clear 5/5! Definitely one of my fav Indonesian food around... for those who loves chilli, do try the green chilli, it is super hot and definitely one for chilli lovers...<br/ <br/ Recommended for anyone in the area, but it is a little to far from Melbourne. I stumbled upon this hidden gem during my first visit to Geelong. The restaurant is spacious and well-lit, with exceptional food that provided the perfect amount of spice and heat to combat the cold winter weather. The dishes were beautifully presented and the portion sizes were generous. The rice in banana leaf with anchovies (Nasi bakar) paired perfectly with the spicy chicken. The staff were friendly and willing to explain Indonesian cuisine to those unfamiliar with it. Judging by the numerous Indonesian patrons, the prices were reasonable and this seems to be a popular spot for delicious Indonesian food.
We had the Nasi Bakar and Grilled Chicken Rujak, Pecel Lele, Es Campur, Banana Fritters and Mega Mendung. The nasi bakar was tasty, although it was a bit hard to open. The staff offered to help me and gave me tips on how to open it, which I appreciated. The chicken was well cooked and the sauce was nice and not too spicy. The pecel lele was also good, especially the sambal as it was very spicy. The es campur was tasty, even though I couldn't finish it because of how big the serving sizes were. The banana fritters were good and the cheese, chocolate and banana went well together.
