This restaurant deserves a decent 4-star rating. The service was satisfactory, although I requested hot water but did not receive it. The food was flavorful but lacked creativity; I was hoping for some grilled vegetables on the plate, but all I got was a lot of meat and two small leaves of lettuce drizzled in oil. Take a look for yourself. Additionally, we waited longer than usual for our food, and just 2 minutes before the main course arrived, we were asked if we wanted bread. I did not come here to see the sights...
This place is fantastic! Make it your favorite Greek restaurant. The lamb pops were tender and full of flavor. The gyros are spot on. Their orzo is delicious. And the rice pudding? Absolutely incredible. On top of all that, the owner is a warm and caring person who truly values his customers and the quality of the food.
The food and service at this restaurant are outstanding. I recently had a party and ordered some items from here, and they were a huge hit. There was nothing left over, which was disappointing for me because I was looking forward to enjoying the leftovers. I will definitely be ordering from this place again and again.
This restaurant is a great spot for Greek cuisine. The gyro had delicious meat that was cooked perfectly. The service was top-notch and the ambiance had dim lighting. They also had a bathroom available and street parking was easy to find.

I’ve been to Pontos Taverna twice in the last few months. While the food overall was tasty, I found the gyro meat somewhat disappointing—it seemed lower quality and a bit dry.
