I was feeling hungry and decided to stop by the nearest Popeyes without knowing what to expect. When we arrived, we intended to use the drive-thru, but it was unexpectedly closed. Unfortunately, the sign indicating this was not visible from the car, so we had to go inside. We asked for mac and cheese, but were informed they were out, except for two small servings as shown in the picture. We ended up ordering a chicken sandwich, which was cold upon arrival. When I opened the bag, it was filled with sauce, making it hard to access the sandwich without making a mess. To make matters worse, I was charged for a small drink that I never received, and the fries were mixed in with my sandwich rather...
I don't think it's fair for family's with EBT snap to get denied service because their lobby is closed. My mother went to get chicken for the family and was told she couldn't use her EBT at the drive thru and could not make an exception to go thru thelobby to paid. So for anyone who has kids to feed with EBT you have to make sure you get there before the lobby is closed oryour not allowed to eat. Why can't they swipe the card and ask for your pin like other fast food places? My family won't bereturning due to the unfairness. They need to change their policy!!????
This restaurant is quite an experience. The food remains tasty, but be prepared to wait a long time for your order. The night staff, which consists of women, tends to be very slow and disorganized. They may give your order to someone else and then lie about it, only to compensate by giving you extra food later. Additionally, there's an issue with transients who come in and steal sodas using their own dirty containers, and the employees either seem unaware or choose to ignore it to avoid any conflict. Overall, it's just a frustrating experience.
I visited Popeyes around 9:45 PM and when I ordered the $6 special, the young man taking my order informed me that they only had chicken breasts available, which was fine. However, I noticed that the car in front of me waited 10 minutes, and when I finally reached the window, he told me there were no biscuits. I expressed that it was okay, but I couldn’t help but notice he was digging in his ear at the same time. This experience was quite unpleasant, and I will definitely not be returning to the Popeyes in Compton.

I am consistently let down whenever I place a mobile order at this restaurant. My order is rarely ready on time, they frequently lack the items I want prepared, and they have trouble telling the difference between spicy and original dishes. It's disappointing because I am a big fan of Popeyes and wish this location provided better service.
The service was incredibly slow! It took 30 minutes just to place my order and get my food at the drive-thru, and there were no other cars ahead of me. I have no idea if they were preparing the chicken fresh on the spot or what, but 30 minutes is an unusually long wait for a drive-thru.
Prepare yourself when you step inside, because the odor from the bathroom will hit you hard and linger in your senses. Make sure to double-check your order before leaving... and be ready for another unpleasant surprise as you exit the restaurant!
Honestly so damm disappointed not only did I wait too long but max and cheese tasted like chemicals but the coleslaw had a bad smell once I open the lid .. so nasty

I had to send my meal back because the food wasn't fresh and was quite fatty with a lot of skin.
