I ordered a shake at the drive-thru and there were three cars in front of me. I would have been late for work if it weren't for the incredibly polite, quick, and attentive young Latino employee! He took my order promptly, rushed inside, and returned with my shake much sooner than I expected. Thanks to his exceptional service, I was able to get to work right on time. This young man deserves a raise or some kind of recognition—employees like him are hard to come by these days.
I absolutely love this place! I ordered the Beef Sandwich and made sure to get it double-dipped with cheese and both hot and mild peppers. I also tried the Maxwell Street Polish Dog and Cheese Fries. They initially forgot the Cheese Fries, but they were quick to fix the issue with a smile and brought out some hot fries. I regret not leaving room for a Chocolate Cake Shake—next time for sure!
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. A young Hispanic man, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, went out of his way to get my mom the strawberry lemonade she was really craving. It was our first time visiting, all the way from North Carolina, and he truly made it a special occasion. Thank you!

I grew up on portillo they have change the beef and gravy , the drive thu they have never got my order right the last time they forgot my hot dog one time they forgot my hamburger
Great Portillo’s! The atmosphere can be pretty loud (especially with the intercom), and it can be packed and slow on lunch rushes, but it’s worth it every time.
Amazing place food’s great, the service was remarkable. The people are super friendly and the chocolate cake shake was beyond perfect.
