got off the Touristic bus 1 stop before Plaza espana walked along the shaded street looking at local shops tapas bars stopped here for a beer a snack. very friendly, helpful. clean toilets lovely staff. The 2 elderly gentlemen service were wonderful. they recommend the mamas croquettes, which were great the patatas bravas. cold local beer. Don't be put off by the sidewalk tables, we sat undisturbed for 40 minutes, you can also sit inside. we knew the food would be good when we saw 2 dental nurses from the business across the street come over, have a chat then pick up their lunch platters lovely experience. 24 Euros for 2 beers, fizzy water, 5 tapas (we over ordered, 3 would have been plentif...
Had lunch in Porto Novo with couple of friends. They ate seafood, I ordered burger, since I am not a sea food lover. Their dishes were nice and well prepared, they enjoyed it. My burger was okayish, meat could be more spicy. It was good for one time, but I will not come back again for it. Atmosphere was also nice, friendly staff. Prices were as in most of the caffees. Prices of the dishes start from 6 euros. Restaurant is not far away from the sea side. My suggestion for the restaurant would be that they should reduce their menu (since there were a loooot of different dishes) and pay attention to one “area”, let’s say sea food, I bet, then they would increase the quality.
The cooking is traditional and typical of the region. On an August evening the place was packed, thankfully the service remained efficient. We paid the Euro equivalent of about £100 for 3 of us for small starters and mains plus wine. The portions were generous and the various fish we all ate tasted great. We also had vegetables cooked on stone, indeed slate, which were super-hot and frankly not so different from more ordinary servings. It is a lovely restaurant and fair value somewhere I would gladly return, no culinary fireworks just good food.
Can’t really notice it from the outside, but inside you will find a very authentic place with very friendly staff which makes you fill as a genuinely respected guest. Good wine card including solid wines from budget category Small compliments besides your order (bread snacks were included to the final check for couple of EUR, but for example olives or small desert we got as a compliment) And of course mediterranean cuisine fantastic paella and other seafood dishes. Can strongly recommend this place!

We came here after a trip to Montserrat in search of a late lunch. We came here because they had a 4.1 review on Google, but it was not a great experience. We ordered vegetable paella from the English menu and were served a dish full of shellfish (and were charged for it). Sangria which was 4.50 a glass had an inch of sugar at the bottom- unappetizing. I ate around the shellfish which was hard and was overall unimpressed.
I found this place, when I visited Barcelona with my mum. I was surprised, because we got great lunch combo. A three-course meal drink for 12 €. Place was really clean and waiters were nice and fast. I will come back! :
Hotel is ideally located, we were able to get a Metro train to the port with ease. The room was clean and more than adequate for our needs, reasonably priced, it was perfect for our visit.
Menú del día rico, rapido y bien de precio. Muy amables .La carta está algo más cara, un plato unos 20 euros. A repetir sin duda
